Burden of the day | 30x40in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2026
| I value the everyday life I live—as a painter (a role I’ve only recently and bravely returned to), as a mother, a wife, and a member of my family. Yet even the simplest daily routines can sometimes feel heavy, weighing me down. But when I place those emotions onto the canvas, I begin to breathe again.

School Break Fun | 30x40in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2026
Travel has become a regular part of our lives during school breaks, as we set out on trips to match the boundless energy of our children. The excitement of planning, the joy of being together, the fatigue along the way, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing them happy all intertwine throughout the journey. Along the way, certain moments touch me in a sentimental way and are captured in photographs. These fragments of memory later return in my paintings, where they are transformed into new scenes.

03
A Moment in the Flow | 30x40 in | watercolor on canvas | 2026
This painted world is a blend of my thoughts, emotions, and the quiet weight of social expectations. It’s not something I can clearly define—and perhaps it isn’t meant to be. I filled the space with things I love. Succulents—my favorite—grow throughout the composition, grounding the piece in something familiar and personal. Floating bubbles drift around them, representing my vulnerable self—fragile, exposed, yet gently existing within the space. The steel-like elements suggest the strength I find within my family, a steady presence beneath everything. There isn’t a single, fixed meaning here. Instead, it’s a reflection of an inner landscape—uncertain, layered, and open. And maybe that openness is the point.

04
Let's go inside | 16x24 in | Watercolor on canvas | 2026
Sometimes I need to turn inward—to quiet myself and think clearly—even when something I love is waiting for me outside.

05
My Perfect Backyard | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
Layered forms in nature often remind me of living with others—whether I want to or not.
Home becomes the structure where our private worlds exist side by side. This painting imagines my own ideal space, while quietly acknowledging the presence of neighbors—living similarly, yet differently, just beyond the walls

06
Afterhiking | 12x24in / 12x24in | Acrylic on Canvas
At the end of the hike, everything felt new again—the flowers brighter, the grass fresher. Even the sky and the distant gate looked like another world waiting for us to step into.

07
PineComplex | 30x40in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
The pineapple has always been one of my favorite forms. Its neatly layered leaves reminded me of how we, too, live intertwined with one another. The body—wrapped in patterns that are slightly different yet perfectly consistent—has always fascinated me. I still remember the moment I sliced the skin to eat it, thinking to myself that if I ever painted something one day, it would have to be a pineapple.

From Above to Below, All Fun | 24x36in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
From a garden suspended 1,820 feet above the ground, the world below shimmered — the amusement park we had just left, still echoing with laughter. Standing there with dear friends, capturing the moment in photos, it felt almost dreamlike — as if simply being together in that place was a small miracle.

09
From Jeju Island | 24x30in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
I collect fragments of beautiful nature during my travels — plants, rocks, seashells — and bring them together into one imagined scene where kids can play, climb, hide, slide, and of course, run. You can almost hear their giggles echoing through the space. Watching them from the side, there’s a quiet peace — a reminder of the joy and goodness found in life’s simple moments with family and friends.

10
Rock Paper Scissor! | 24x30in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
Sometimes, the stones scattered along the roadside look beautiful. You pick one up, decorate the garden, make little ornaments, paint on them... and the children absolutely love it. As an adult, I linger at the edge. It’s not quite my world—yet I’m drawn to it. It looks delightful, but not something I’d do myself. Like trampolines. I never say no. I watch them soar, weightless with joy, and my heart lifts with theirs. But me? I wouldn’t climb on— Not unless I lose a round of rock, paper, scissors.

11
Playground | 24x30in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
The countless leaves layered together to form a single tree inspire a deep sense of beauty in me. Their togetherness reminds me of life within society and family—where we gather, live, and grow as one. In that shared space, I imagine moments of play, joy, quarrels, and love woven together—just like the life within my painting.

12
Hide and seek | 28x20 in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
A fleeting travel landscape—capturing the moment children run apart, moving from light into shadow, embodying the playful contrast between brightness and darkness.

13
You Can slide | 22x28 in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
Kids are always drawn to sliding down—even I feel the urge to try. Despite the risk of getting hurt, it always ends in laughter and fun.

14
After Rain | 16x20 in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
A passing moment after the rain—playing with an umbrella, chasing shadows as if they could hide within them. The damp ground becomes a seat without worry, as though the earth itself has forgotten it is still wet

15
Backyard | 16x20 in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025
A dreamlike backyard, suspended between memory and imagination. During the time of Covid, it was the only world they had—limited in objects, yet opening into endless space. A place floating yet reachable, where blue could be sky, water, or even earth, and play stretched beyond its boundaries.

The Soap Bubble Person represents a fragile and uncertain self, while a steel marble suggests strength and resilience. Succulent plants and layered leaves evoke my place within society—intertwined with others, coexisting within a shared structure, whether willingly or not.
